About the House...
This renovated three-bedroom, three-bath 1900 sea captain’s home sits at the end of a quiet street, a three minute walk to downtown Edgartown.
The main floor offers a large eat-in kitchen with cathedral ceilings and a long farm table with room for eight. A cozy deck outside the kitchen allows a view of the back yard. The living room off the kitchen has a fireplace and comfortable furniture including a daybed sofa that converts into a sleeper for two. The great room has arched paned windows for plenty of light--perfect for reading, backgammon, or cocktails. The main floor bedroom faces the street with access to the ground floor bath.
Upstairs the large master bedroom has its own bath, complete with claw-foot tub. The third bedroom, with extra-long twin four-poster beds, has access to another full bath from the hall.
This family home has long ties to the Vineyard and is decorated with many antiques and is not suitable for toddlers or young children. A well-behaved, housebroken dog is welcome with a few rules. Ride your bike to the fish market, the beach, tennis courts at the Boys and Girls Club, or the ferry to Chappaquiddick. A large fenced-in yard allows for croquet, barbeques or a place to store your bikes. Parking is available for four cars.
